OKC couple busted on prostitution and drug charges

8/24/2016 - OKC, OK -- An Oklahoma City man and woman have been charged with prostitution and drug related charges after being arrested back in May.

According to court records, on May 5th an undercover officer with the Oklahoma City Police Department's Vice Unit was conducting an Internet sting when he was directed to an apartment at 8101 S. Western around 5 p.m.

After the undercover officer arrived, he was met by a woman later identified as Rhiannon Stephanie Mathis. Mathis, 25, allegedly offered to masturbate the undercover officer for $300. 

Mathis was then placed under arrest and gave consent for officers to search her apartment.

During the search officers located "methamphetamine baggies with heavy residue" and marijuana.

Officers conducting surveillance in the parking lot identified a man acting as a lookout for Mathis.

The man was identified by police as 30-year-old Christopher David McEvoy. While McEvoy was being search, investigators found heroin and $267 in cash.

Both Mathis and McEvoy were transported to the Oklahoma County Jail. On Aug. 12, formal criminal charges were filed in Oklahoma County.

Mathis was charged with felony computer crimes, offering to engage in prostitution, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McEvoy was charged with aiding prostitution, possession of meth, possession of heroin, and possession of criminal proceeds.

On Aug. 15, arrest warrants were issued for Mathis and McEvoy.

Social media profiles indicate that Mathis and McEvoy are in a dating relationship.

According to Mathis' public Facebook profile, she is pregnant, used to work as a stripper at the Red Dog Cafe and before that worked with children at a daycare and the elderly at a retirement center.
