10/31/2017 - OKC, OK -- An Oklahoma City couple has pleaded guilty to their participation in prostitution and drug crimes.

As previously reported on JohnTV, Christopher David McEvoy, 30, and Rhiannon Stephanie Mathis, 25, were arrested back in May of 2016.

According to court records, Mathis had an ad for prostitution on Backpage.com. An undercover OKC police officer responded to the ad and was directed to an apartment in the 8100 block of S. Western Ave.

After the officer arrived, Mathis offered to masturbate the undercover officer for $300.

Mathis was then placed under arrest.

Additional officers monitoring the outside of the apartment complex noticed a man acting as a lookout for Mathis.

The man was detained and identified as McEvoy. McEvoy was quickly identified as Mathis' boyfriend.

While Mathis, McEvoy and their apartment were being searched, police located methamphetamine baggies with heavy residue, heroin and marijuana.

Mathis was charged with felony computer crimes, offering to engage in prostitution, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McEvoy was charged with aiding prostitution, possession of meth, possession of heroin, and possession of criminal proceeds.

In Dec. of 2016, Mathis pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five-years deferred, a $110 fine, $110 VCA, $110 DA fees, $150 DNA fee and court costs.

On Aug. 23, 2017, McEvoy worked out a plea deal where the DA's office dropped the aiding and abetting prostitution charge in exchange for his guilty plea on the drug charges. McEvoy was sentenced to four-years suspended, plus fines and court costs.
