5/15/2017 - OKC, OK -- A telephone call from a teenage girl's father leads to the arrest of her suspected human trafficker in Oklahoma City.
According to court documents; a 17-year-old Oklahoma City teen met Luther Travis Thompson, 28, on Facebook in Oct. of 2016. Shortly thereafter, Thompson requested and received nude photographs from the teen girl.
At some point the teen met up with Thompson in person.
On April 23, the teen was with Thompson when he reportedly began pimping her out to strangers.
According to the teen, she was taken to a man's house where she was to have sex with him in exchange for $500. Thompson reportedly told the teen that she would receive $100 and he would take $400.
Fortunately for the teen, nobody answered when she knocked on the stranger's door.
Thompson then drove the teen to the area of SW 72nd and S. Walker Ave. in south Oklahoma City. The teen told investigators that Thompson told her the next 'John' was going to pay $1,500.
At some point the teen was able to contact her father and reportedly told him she was being kidnapped and held against her will at an apartment complex. The teen's father then called 911 and reported that his daughter might be in danger. Police, responding to the father's call, encountered Thompson and the teen sitting in a car in the apartment parking lot.
Thompson was arrested without incident. While searching Thompson, police recovered $1,067 in cash.
The teen reportedly told police that she met Thompson online, that he had needed money and arranged 'tricks' for her. The teen told police she didn't want to prostitute for Thompson but was afraid to say no.
