Woman arrested for sex trafficking OKC teen

UPDATE: On 5/26/2017 Rigdon was formally charged with human trafficking, felony computer crimes and aiding prostitution.

5/12/2017 - OKC, OK -- An Oklahoma City woman is currently behind bars after police say she was caught pimping out a teenager in the metro.

Heather Riann Rigdon, 26, was arrested this past Tuesday, around 10:30 P.M., by members of the Oklahoma City Police Department's Vice Unit.

According to court records, a male undercover Vice officer responded by phone to a suspected prostitution ad posted online under the name "Lindsey."

The undercover officer was instructed to meet with the woman at her hotel - the Hospitality Inn at 3709 NW 39th Street - in Oklahoma City.

When the undercover officer arrived, he met with a white female and provided her with $150 in exchange for sexual intercourse.

As the female was being taken into custody, it was learned that she was only 16-years-old.

Surveillance officers in the immediate area had observed another white female loitering near the juvenile's room prior to the undercover officer's arrival.

Officers located the adult female and identified her as Rigdon.

Officers later learned that Rigdon had rented the hotel room the juvenile was prostituting out of and was in possession of the cell phone used to arrange the prostitution encounter.

Rigdon was arrested, transported to the Oklahoma County Jail and booked into custody on criminal complaints of human trafficking a minor and felony computer crimes.

Rigdon's bond has been set at $52,000.

The juvenile was reportedly released to DHS custody.

Rigdon has prior criminal cases in Oklahoma County going back to 2011 and include; charges and/or convictions for possession of hydrocodone, felony computer crimes and prostitution.

Formal charges have not yet been filed in this case and Rigdon remains in custody as of this posting.
