OKC man from Burma arrested for soliciting prostitution online

9/20/2016 - OKC, OK -- An Oklahoma City man was arrested last month after he allegedly solicited an undercover female police officer posing as an Internet prostitute.

According to court records, back on Aug. 4, a man later identified as Zam Suan responded to a fake prostitution ad posted to Backpage.com by members of the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Around 8 p.m. Suan, 32, was directed by a female undercover officer to come to her motel room at the Motel 6 at 820 S. Meridian Ave. in south Oklahoma City.

After Suan arrived, he allegedly agreed to pay the undercover female officer $80 for sex.

Suan was then taken into custody and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.

Formal charges have not yet been filed against Suan and no other criminal history could be found.

According to Suan's publicly accessible Facebook profile, Suan is single and originally from Tiddim - a town in the north-western part of Burma.

Suan lists his current address as an apartment in the 4800 block of N. Blackwelder in Oklahoma City.
