Oklahoma man, charged in Louisiana with soliciting child prostitution, given Aug. trial date

7/1/2016 - Alexandria, LA -- A man from Mangum, Oklahoma has been given an August 29 trial date regarding allegations he solicited prostitution related sexual activities with a child.

According to a release from the Louisiana State Police, Shawn L. Lindsey, 43, of Mangum what arrested back in Sept. of 2015 and subsequently charged with felony contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, solicitation of prostitution, prostitution involving juveniles under 14, pornography with juveniles and crimes against nature by solicitation.

Lindsey was arrested during an investigation and sting by the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit. Lindsey's bond was set at $400,000.

The investigation into Lindsey reportedly "centered on an online ad soliciting sex. As the investigation continued, Lindsey began asking for sex with an adult and a juvenile."

Lindsey was arrested Alexandria, LA. At the time of his arrest he was found to be in the possession of "several deviant sexual items."

The Louisiana State Police say they have reason to believe Lindsey may have additional victims in their state or within Oklahoma.
