Details released on the local arrest of a prostitute and her adult and teen accomplice

6/30/2016 - OKC, OK -- Details have been released regarding last week's arrest in OKC of an Internet prostitute and her female teen and adult male accomplice.

According to court records, last Monday, an undercover officer with the Oklahoma City Police Department's Vice Unit responded to a suspected prostitution ad posted to

The undercover officer was directed to go to room #124 at the Ramanda Inn in the 2200 block of S. Meridian Ave.

Once the officer arrived, the woman inside the hotel allegedly offered to perform oral sex in exchange for $160. The woman was taken into custody and identified as 27-year-old Tanice Lashay Nelson of Guthrie.

While Nelson was being processed, additional undercover officers working surveillance identified a man and a woman outside the hotel that appeared to be acting as lookouts for Nelson.

Police detained Daniel Waldemar Laughlin, 38, of Guthrie and Kierra Marie Johnson, 19, of Del City. 

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in this case, while searching Laughlin police found several pills, including Xanax. A further search of Laughlin's vehicle turned up methamphetamine and cash.

All three were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

Nelson was booked in on complaints of felony computer crimes and offering to engage in prostitution.

Johnson was booked in on complaints of aiding and abetting prostitution and possession of CDS.

Laughlin was booked into jail on complaints of aiding and abetting prostitution, possession of CDS, possession of criminal proceeds and giving false information.

Public records show that Nelson has an active case in Logan county for possession of CDS and larceny. In 2014, Nelson received a deferred sentence for possession and unauthorized use of a credit card. In Oklahoma County, Nelson received a deferred sentence in 2014 for felony computer crimes and prostitution. In April of this year, Nelson was convicted of felony possession of a firearm while on probation.

As of the posting, Laughlin and Nelson are still in police custody.

UPDATE: On July 6, 2016 Daniel Waldemar Laughlin and Tanice Lashay Nelson were officially charged in Oklahoma County. Laughlin with possession of meth, possession of criminal proceeds possession of Xanax and aiding and abetting prostitution. Nelson was charged with felony computer crimes and engaging in prostitution.
