OKC woman with prior prostitution arrest found dead inside Okla. County Jail

4/26/2016 – OKC, OK — An investigation has been launched after an Oklahoma City woman, with a history of prostitution, was found dead inside the Oklahoma County Jail.

According to published reports, around 10:30 p.m. on April 11, 58-year-old Rebecca Anne Roberts was found deceased inside her cell.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and the OSBI opened an investigation and have been conducting interviews with jail staff and inmates.

Roberts was reportedly booked into jail on March 23 for a probation violation stemming from an application to revoke a 2014 conviction and probation sentence for assault upon emergency personnel.

On the day Roberts died, she had just hours before appeared before Judge Graves, confessed to the motion to revoke and was sentenced to 60-days in jail.

Roberts was also being held on a failure to pay warrant stemming from a 2004 conviction for felony stalking.

Roberts pleaded guilty in 2004 to a misdemeanor  prostitution charge. A failure to pay warrant was issued in 2015 for her arrest.
