OKC pimp charged with sex trafficking a juvenile stemming from 'operation cross country'

7/22/2014 – OKC, OK — An Oklahoma City ‘man’ has been charged with sex trafficking a teen as a result of his June arrest by the FBI and Oklahoma City Police.

As JohnTV previously reported, last month marked the 8th year in a row of the FBI’s national effort to target, expose and arrest individuals involved in adult and juvenile sex trafficking through an annual sting dubbed Operation Cross Country.

Locally, at least 42 individuals were taken into custody; Two on complaints of human trafficking, 12 for aiding and abetting prostitution and 28 females for soliciting prostitution. Unlike previous years, not a single ‘John’ was targeted for arrest.

One of those arrested was 25-year-old Kylan (also spelled Kyan) Letrail Gilmore of Oklahoma City.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on June 19, federal and local undercover officers were responding fast and furiously to suspected prostitution ads posted to Backpage.com.

At about 8 p.m. a suspected prostitute was directed to come to an undercover officer’s hotel room at the Best Western Plus Saddleback Inn & Conference Center (located at 4300 SW 3rd, OKC).

After the female arrived, she allegedly offered the undercover officer specific sexual services in exchange for $150. The female, only identified in court papers as “B. D.”, was then taken into custody where it was learned that she was only 17-years-old.

Undercover officers monitoring the hotel parking lot identified Gilmore as the individual who drove the juvenile to the hotel to engage in prostitution. Gilmore was located and also taken into custody and transported to the Oklahoma County Jail.

On June 30, Gilmore was formally charged in Oklahoma County with felony human sex trafficking.

Gilmore is currently being held in jail on a $100,000 bond – but possibly not for long…..

One day after Gilmore’s July 7, initial court appearance, his ‘girlfriend’ posted this to social media…

The above post seems to indicate that, even when locked up, Oklahoma human sex traffickers still have a strong hold on their victims.

The following posts were posted to Gilmore’s Facebook page just days before he was arrested for human sex trafficking…

Speaking of Facebook posts that make you go “hmmmmmm” – Just two months prior to Gilmore’s human sex trafficking arrest, he posted a photo with a caption that indicates he was shot during some sort of altercation…

If you thought the above posts were odd, you haven’t seen anything yet. The following video was also publicly posted by Gilmore’s ‘girlfriend’…

Court records show that this is not Gilmore’s first run-in with the law (we’re guessing you’d probably already figured that out).

In Feb. of this year, Gilmore and another man and a woman were charged in Oklahoma County with felony drug distribution and trafficking related crimes. That case is still ongoing.

In Sept. of last year Gilmore was convicted of domestic assault and battery and sentenced to one year suspended and only a $100 fine.

It probably also comes as no surprise that Gilmore is apparently a father.

This is what he has to say online about that responsibility…

Gilmore is next scheduled to appear in court this Thursday for his preliminary hearing conference.

JohnTV will continue to follow this case.
